A Study On College E-Testing System Based On .Net And Ajax

Examination is an important activity of evaluation to instruction, it is important by means of assessment to the results of learning. It can be run in variety ways. With mordern educational technology and campus networks, combining classical test theory (CTT) and item response theory(IRT), the examination can be achieved automation and personalized, it plays an even greater role in the process of instruction.This paper discusses a e-testing system using B/S model in three tier architecture. Application is developed by popular ASP.NET, Ajax and SQL Server. With CTT and IRT, a test bank is designed. It is managed in the aspect of category, effectiveness and assessment of testing objectives. Using ADO.NET, Ajax and XML for data processing and transmission, to achieve the examination process automation (customizing test paper, on line answering, automation check, auto-adaptive test, result enquiry and analysis ), while using monitoring subsystem to monitor exam automatically.The system uses campus networks to realize paperless examination, not only greatly increase the efficiency of its work, standardize the examination, but also make test bank to be a valuable knowledge base. It will be a broad application prospects.
