The Research And Implementation Of The Network Operation Support System For Beijing Municipal Government

With the development of the modern technology, Internet has already been stepping into our daily routine work and became an unseparated part. But meanwhile a big problem emerged, that the maintenance cost is much higher than the Internet equipment itself. So an effective operation support system is in need, which will ensure Internet smoothly running, also make problems quickly solved when trouble happened.The Capital Information Development Co. Ltd .take over the project of the Internet construction and maintenance for the Beijing municipal government, so we should strive to make sure of the Beijing municipal government's Internet smoothly running against the difficulties we are facing such as a large area of 18 districts in Beijing, complicated business work and so many different types of equipments. Our company generally receives several dozens' daily failure reports, every case needs to be well taken care of and fixed. We also need to control and calculate data according to customers' requirements, and provide timely feedback to customers regularly, that will much benefit customers. So an effective management system is urgently in need, which will enhance our service quality and save much effort.My paper is based on the urgent need, mainly referring to the NGOSS theory and ITIL theory, with HP's Open View as tool. Capital Information Development Co., Ltd. started to build the government Internet processing system from April of 2006, if the theory could well combined with that system, I believe the successful 5 functions: configuration management, fault management, performance management, security management, and billing management, and with that we could realize 24 hours' constantly controlling, tracing the problem emerged, controlling different business, different type, and different Internet equipment under one management system. A standardized, intelligent and comprehensive Internet system is expected, with that we could guarantee a smoothly running Internet network.In this article, based on actual fact and existing theory, I strive to create an Internet operation support system, to make Internet processing work more sufficient. This project will benefit customer to lower cost and increase profit, also could enhance the companys' competition ability.
