The main objective is to design a universal video monitoring platform base on the MPEG-4 code technology, Combining hardware coded chips and server management software to provide a real-time, practical and easy operation, high reliability, maintainability of video monitoring management system.This system adopts Client/Server structure to develop and design as a whole, object-oriented programming thought was leaded into the Visual C++ software development platform. And combine multithreading technology and modular design; display video streaming through DirectDraw technology and play audio streaming through DirectSound technology.Through test and debug, this system can browse images real-time monitored under actual environment and hardware conditions finally. Basically fulfill the monitoring of real-time picture of the scene, and may look at the monitor picture recording according to the request. This system running stable, user-friendly operation, eventually obtained good results and achieved the expected objectives, realized the basic function of the network video monitoring management system.
