| This thesis presents a design of DVB-C set-top box based on the embedded Linux operation system, which focus on the system framework and development process. In this scheme, we choose a 300M MIPS CPU, ATI Xilleon? 210H as the CPU. This product is required to complete the functions of receiving RF TV signal, demodulating it by the front-end tuner, and transforming it into parallel TS(Transport Stream), so that the descrambled transport stream can be fed into Xilleon? 210H for MPEG2 decoding. Then the digital video signal can be transformed into either analog TV output signal through YPBPR, VGA, S-VIDEO interface, or digital output such as DVI, HDMI signal. The ultimate goal of this study is to realize the physical device of DVB-C set-top box, which has the following basic features:Receiving and presenting the digital TV broadcast programs;Support Conditional Access function, and separation between the set and the card;Receiving and display of EPG information in accordance with DVB standard;Simplied Chinese characters display, support GB2312 font;LOADER function to realize compulsory upgrading by the operator or optional upgrading by users. |
