China's Olympic Games will be the cause of China's sports to a new climax.The host of the Olympic Games brings not only great economic effects,cultural and social effects,and also new requirements of the the level of our services,service equipment, sports equipment.It asks for more intelligent,information-based, user-friendly application of the technology and equipment to the sport. In this paper,based on the characteristics of water sports, design Data Acquistion Terminal based on the GPS/GPRS for sailboat, and the design in the course of the study is presented in detail.First of all,the paper introduces the sailing-related information technology research. Around the composition of the Sailing information system, according to the characteristics of water sailing sports,this paper describes the important role of sailboat data acquisition,analyzes the construction and function of the acquisition terminal.At the same time,point out innovative design,innovative technique in the design process.Data Acquisition Terminal takes GPS/GPRS technology as the main characteristics, the ARM9(s3c2410) processor, embedded Linux technology as major support,the embedded database SQLite as technical highlights to start the design of embedded system.Hardware circuit design of sailboat terminal, embedded system software design are described and discussed in detail carefully. Data Acquisition Terminal design at the following five major components, the five main components including: data get, data processing, data storage,data transmission,data acquisition and control.Design and implementation of hardware and software in accordance with these five segments.For data "Get", a detailed introduction on how to achieve the extraction of GPS data, as well as how to greatly improve the efficiency of data extraction methods, the introduction of dual-axis inclination sensor data acquisition;For the "Storage", a detailed description of the implementation of SQLite database data storage; For the "Transmission",describes how to use Sony Ericsson's GR47 module to realize wireless data transmission.For the "Processing" ,have realized the option and configuration of whether or not the database storage or wireless send. Terminal will be set according to the user to choose whether or not the data storage, whether the wireless sending. If so, then according to the user settings to configure the database, data table name, and server addresses for GPRS. At the same time, the contents of collection can also be configured, the data will set up in accordance with the objects of the acquisition decision.For the "control",provide three flexible and innovative design achieve:(1).The two working mode. When in the normal operation for data acquisition ,called "Working Mode";Before the acquisition, the Terminal can be configured in the " Set Mode", in the "Set Mode" will appear the BIOS human-machine interface. (2).Serial terminal settings to achieve human-machine interface functions. Serial terminal mode settings to achieve the man-machine interface functions, economic and effective, on the one hand, eliminating the need for specialized display devices, reduce costs, reduce power consumption; on the other hand, precisely suited to the characteristics of sailing, the rough sailing environment, humid inappropriate and display equipment observation inappropriate. (3).Humanization of terminal operations, including the acquisition software running start, stop, status of the running, storage indications, wireless sending indications.In addition, introduce the PC software, applied with the Sailing Data Acquisition Terminal. The PC software is designed using Qt,the main functions are:First,"Static data viewing",browse databases from SD Card or GPRS server ;Second,"Dynamic Data Show",dynamic playback (database) of historical data;Third,"Real-time data viewing",when sailing terminal works on GPRS remote transmission of data collected, the PC software serves as a server software to receive data.Finally,with the actual research and development results, summarize and analyze the characteristics of the system, forecast the next step of the design work in future.
