After several decades of evolution and development, the telecommunication network has evolved into the period of Next Generation Network (NGN), which employs the packet transfer technology to provide multimedia services. On the basis of the separation of service layer and control layer, NGN further separates the control layer from the bearer network, and makes the network service capability open, thus can provide customers with more and more rich services, including voice, data and multimedia applications. As the implementation of NGN in mobile network, IMS is regarded as the core technology of NGN. When multiple services are running simultaneously under the IMS architecture, the effects which customers or operators don't expect to occur are Service Conflict. As the types of services are increasing, the occurrence of service interaction will be more frequent. If the problem of service interaction cannot be properly solved, it will take effect on the deployment of IMS services, and further on the success of IMS.The main contents of this paper are as bellows: first, the paper gives a summary of service system of IMS and explains the service invocation mechanism of Initial Filter Criteria in detail. On the basis of that, we study and analyze the causes of Service Interaction in IMS and solutions, in order to solve the problem of service interaction in IMS. Based on the description of Service Broker in the 3GPP Specification, we design and implement the module of Service Interaction Management Function. After implementation, we build the OSIMS platform of IMS Core Network to take a testing for our Service Broker. Further more, we extend the Service Broker for service interaction in multi-session services and propose a Multi-session Management Mechanism.
