There are some disadvantages about traditional mechanic meter, which includes low measuring precision, manual reading, imprecise . computation of block electrical power consumption, incapable to make statistical evaluation of different block electrical power consumption, incapable to make scientific,reasonable and precise appreciation on the motorman operation, and energy saving effect. Aiming at those Problems, intelligent ammeter system had been developed. Intelligent ammeter system involves two large aspects, hardware and software . intelligent ammeter is fixed to the electric locomotive, which stores electric locomotive' s moving information based on the change of electrical power consumption and electric locomotive' s parameter. The software could not only analyse and tabulate data to form all kinds of statistics, but also estimate the block electrical power consumption and motorman' s operation. The Management Information System of Locomotive ' s Electric Energy Consumption Analyse and Operation Evaluation based on intelligent ammeter is in order to calculate and manage the electrical power consumption of locomotive.First, in the paper, intelligent ammeters ' s components of hardware and principle of work , especially rule of data storage are expounded. Incorporate with different requirements and different running mode of locomotive terminals, to discourse upon requirements of function and performance of the MIS in detail.Overall framework' s design of the MIS is primarily studied , which is based upon software struction of Client/Server.The whole system is breaks down according to function , as follows : module of database storage, module of data restore process, module of specific data process, module of data analysis and statistics, module of user report data, module of appreciation on the motorman operation, module of graphical interfaces. The client of this system accomplished the query and the statistics of the energy consumption query by Person, locomotive, time and section. The system also achieves the automatic access of data.Initial data from local locomotive terminal' s dumping stored data and from the other locomotive terminal ' s transmited data Which belongs to the locomotive terminal is firstly entered into the database. Like this, it form a initial database which needed by the sofeware system. Initial data tables is regarded as a large container, the following data demanded can get from the large container.Finally, in the paper , the method and process of database design is discussed in detail, especially for the design of database tables and storing process.The main function of the system has been completed.
