Universal Series Bus (USB) technology with its Plug and Play, easy to expand, take up less system resources, and the theoretical 480Mbps transfer speed has been widely used. The uncooled infrared imaging technology was introduced briefly, according to the characteristics of the output images of uncooled Infrared Camera, an image collection and transmission platforms that is small, low-cost, modular, easy to maintain was built. In the analysis of transfer rates, compatibility, footprint and other characteristics of the common bus and USB2.0, Based on the USB system architecture, data transmission type, physical connection, power supply, transaction processing and error control several aspects of thecharacteristics, the image collection and transmission platform is built which based on Cypress EZ_USB FX2 68013 chip. According to the characteristics of 68013 the chip uses SLAVE FIFO (Slave FIFO) mode. The interface circuit diagram was completed and the framework of the firmware was discussed, the firmware was completed by using the C language. Using the USB bus technology can meet the uncooled infrared imaging system output image collection and transmission requirements.
