The Research Of CCD Signal Data Acquisition And Transmission System Based On USB2.0

USB interface has many unique advantages such as inserting and pulling out from the cumputer without power blockout, supplying power by USB protocol itself, supplying multiple devices by one USB protocol, which make it inreplaceable during gathering and transfer works. But because it is too complicated to develop the USB protocol, for the developer, he must develop the basic equipment as well as meet the protocol’s demand and host application program and its driving system developing. This has a bad effect on the USB technique application in gathering and data transfering. This article is studying the CCD data gathering and transfer system based on deeply study of the USB2.0 high-speed data transmission.We adapt the USB chip CY7C0813A of FX2 series from Cypress Company. The Slave FIFO high-speed transmission system of USB2.0 is made of CY7C0813A chip and field-programmable gate array(FPGA).CCD (Charge Coupled Device)imagining senser has the characteristics of high resolution, high sensitivity, wide dynamic and spectral response range, small volume and light weight. its capacity and prospect of market is very impressive. In this article, linear array CCDTCD1705 is used, strict driving timing sequence must be supplied while it is working, huge data being produced must be handled properly in time. FPGA of the Slave FIFO high-speed transmission system need to provide driving siginal for the CCD, complete data gathering and tranfering system is formed by this way. This system is used for testing a new kind of money-counting machine,which is based on CCD imaging data processing. The reliability of this system is well confirmed by ideal imaging results getting from the principal computer.The CCD data gathering and transferring system is based on the Slave FIFO USB2.0 high-speed transmission system, it has a great effect on the application of USB technique in data gathering work.
