Data acquisition is a process that converts the analog signal into digital signal and then store, dispose and display. Application took as center, computer technology as base, hardware and software trimmed to meet the functionality, reliability, cost, size and power of application system, the special application system becomes the embedded system. The combination of data acquisition and embedded system becomes the most popular application for data acquisition in recent years.Taking the alternating signal as the acquisition object, data acquisition system is designed based on S3C2410A and embedded Linux. Firstly, the meaning, significance and tasks of data acquisition are presented, also the connotation, character, composition, classification, development and new challenges of embedded system are described generally. Secondly, the choice principle for the core of hardware and software of embedded data acquisition system are analyzed, and the choice of the core of hardware and software of this system are studied. Thirdly, the microprocessors and embedded operating systems, work as the hardware core part of data acquisition system and software core part respectively, are studied in depth to choose the suitable one. Thirdly, the overall architecture of data acquisition and specific cell circuit are designed. Based on the embedded software engineering ideas, programming languages and features suited for embedded software development are analyzed comprehensively. Fourthly, the programming language and character suit for embedded system are analyzed, and the study focus on the cross-development and simulation technology which have the characteristics of most embedded software, especially development environment ADS1.2 and development tool GNU. Finally, the SPI communication between the system processor S3C2410A and chip for sampling ATT7026A are discussed in detail. On this basis, the foreground and background system and system software under Linux system are designed, simulated and debugged.
