With the advent of the information age, the transmation of information in the production and daily life area is increasingly important, in the field of industry control, the objective of monitoring and control network is to make it high reliability, low power, low cost.so the standard of 802.15.4 and zigbee wireless networking technology issued by IEEE committee are based on the emerging 803.15.4 wireless networking technology and are forcus on application of low-speed personal area about network, characternized by short-range low speed, low power conuption. The cost on application o of low cost of Zigbee technology apply for low-cost device connectivity in large area, which has been demonstrated in the industrial control field.The system mainly research on the data-collection network of water level instrument in model of Yangtze River..It is proposed that using Zigbee wireless network technology take place of RS485 cable network in this paper for the difficulties of maintenance in the RS485 network. Zigbee wireless network system consists of four parts:the central control computer, coordinator, routing equipment and terminal equipment. Central control computer and coordinator, which are connected with each other are the control center of the system; routing equipment provides routing service; terminal equipment connecting with field data collection devices or control devices to collect corresponding data and control.In the process of system research, the 802.15.4/Zigbee Standards and Technology is the main point and selected the cluster-tree topology as the network structure of the data collection system after deeply analysising of the network formation, equipment entering the network,principles of routing choice. The ARMSKY-Zigbee kit introduced by Skye Electronic Technology Co.,Ltd. Hunan as the hardware platform, the Z-STACK1.4.1 protocol stack introduced by TI as the software platform, as to complete the network experiment; and depend on the requirement of application to configure the network parameters properly, and using Super-frame structure with the protection of the slot and channelas as time period of network, and use mechanism of end to end to confirm in the process of transmission of configuration parameterThe communication circuit, serial interface circuit and power supply circuits based on Chipcon CC2430 chip are designed according to requirements of the system and the application programs of each module based on Z-STACK1.4.1 are also designed. Data frame structure in each layer and the information in the application layer are defined. A wireless data collection system based on 802.15.4/Zigbee is designed. Finally, the testing of function and performance on the whole system is carried out. The testing result show that the water lever data collection function have achieved. Then sum up and analysis of the inadequacies of the system, at last, put forward the direction of technological upgrading. System provides a guideline to 802.15.4/Zigbee Technology in the application of Industrial Measurement and Control System.
