Based on the DSP TMS320LF2407A microprocessor and combined with GPS and GPRS, the paper had achieved overall design of the remote monitoring systems of milk transport security. The system is an integrated system, including monitoring terminal unit, transmission unit and monitoring center unit. The system had realized the functions of real-time acquisition, processing, analyzing and forwarding of GPS and image data. The paper focused on design and implementation of hardware and software of the monitoring terminal unit. Based on the minimum system of DSP, serial communication port had been expanded to three, and interface level between SCI and RS232 had been converted. At the same time, the GPS, C328 and GPRS interface circuits had been designed. In order to improve real-time, software used the mixed programming of the C language and assembly language.With completion of system initialization procedures and serial extensions, The paper designed real-time GPS data collection procedures, and used Gaussian distribution algorithm to analyze the GPS data. On this basis, the corresponding image data were collected. According to the GPRS bandwidth, image data were divided. Then the data divided were forwarded to the center. The CCS environment was used for simulation tests of software to verify the feasibility of the system. Finally, the paper summarized the major work and the improvement in the future. Tested and proven monitoring terminal has many kinds of good performance such as real-time, low power consumption, stable performance, reliable, and practical value.
