Mingfeng Special Paper Co. Ltd. founded 82 years ago is one of the earliest paper mills in China. This paper analyzed some questions about quality management in Mingfeng. It reviewed the course of quality management in the world in recent about 100 years in brief and the history of Mingfeng. After analyzed the status quo and feature of management in Mingfeng, it pointed out four insufficiencies in quality management aspect to seek more excellence, which were shortage of manpower resource, lack of researching how to understand and raise the ability to compete in quality, insufficiency of quality management system integrating and achievement improving and that customer-faithfulness had not yet come true though satisfaction degree of customers had been investigated and paid attention to. The paper put forward measures to solve these problems then. Finally, it indicated the way of quality management developing and the idea of quality management culture that Mingfeng should own.Measures that Mingfeng should adopt were regarding manpower as capital, reforming organization, whole employees quality controlling, management innovating, seeking superexcellence, introducing the idea of economic quality, system managing, integrating perfectly, running the management system more normally, quality competing, satisfying customers, raising benefits, introducing a concept of quality cost and deepening quality management, etc.The paper discussed three significations of quality, and indicated that quality management in enterprises has changed now from quality control in a narrow sense to total quality control, and brought forward that quality management in Mingfeng should be changed from control afterwards to prevention forward. It discussed the method of pushing SPC in enterprises and the concept of quality cost and low quality cost. And it studied some theories of quality management, such as regarding manpower as capital, non-disfigurement, mode of super-excellence, six-sigma, five-S management, etc. And it also studied the feasibility and embodying method to integrate the systems of ISO19001, 14001 and 18001. It indicated the method of analyzing the satisfaction degree of customers, and the purpose and meaning to obtain a change from satisfaction to faithfulness of customers.
