Study On The Fluctuation Of Investment Growth And Its Influences In 1992-2004 In China

No matter in capitalist countries or socialism countries, investment is one of basic problems which are the most conspicuous in the national economy, as well as of the three basic forces which support economic growth in the contemporary society. In the period of the economic system transition, profound changes have happened and been happening in the domain of investment since 1992 when socialist market economic system was decided as the objective of economic reform in China. Guided by the theories of contemporary economics, especially investment theories, the thesis investigates the major alteration, analyses the reasons that caused changing in investment, researches the principal influences of the changes on the main sides of national economy, and puts forward some corresponding countermeasures and choices of investment policies for the issues which existed in the field of investment.The thesis first respectively analyzes for the total investment in 1992-2004 in two aspects of investment scale and investment structure. In the side of investment scale, these analyses include one for the changing situation of investment scale in 1992-2004, one for the main influences on the economic growth, consumption, economic fluctuation and investment regulation, one for the factors that cause the alteration, and one for the problems of investment regulation. Five investment structures are studied: (1) funds source structure, (2) funds use structure, (3) ownership structure, (4) three-region structure, and (5) industry structure.Likewise, analyses for investment structure cover the changing situation, the main influences, the factors, and the issues. Based on these analyses, the thesis presents corresponding suggestion for the amelioration of investment scale regulation and the improvement of the investment structure.And then this paper investigates governmental investment and private investment. The study involves the performance situation analysis and problems analysis for governmental investment, the scale and the structure of private investment, the factors analysis that affect the development of private investment. The study demonstrates that governmental investment as before play a very important role, and that private investment still has a huge development potential though it has held an important share in the total investment in the transition period to market economy. In the same way, the article advances countermeasures to reform governmental investment and to speed up private investment.This thesis finally studies the reform of investment system since establishing socialist market economy, further analyzing the influences of the reform on the major areas of investment system, pointing out new circumstances which the reform of investment system is facing and main problems which exists in the investment system at present, adopting corresponding choices of policies to reform the investment system during the transition period after joining WTO.
