Analysis On Investment Portfolio Of Securities Investment Funds

There are seven chapters in this paper. The main contents can be reduced into four aspects: a) summary of securities investment funds and Modern Portfolio Theory; b) analysis on stock portfolio character of securities investment funds in China; c) analysis on investment performance of securities investment funds; d) put forward corresponding policies to solve problems existing in investment portfolio of securities investment funds in China. The contents in detail are as follows:At first, the author introduces basic theories of securities investment funds and their current situations in China. The main contents include: concept, kinds, background, gradual progress courses, management policies and investment operation theories of securities investment funds, etc. Then the author puts forward theeffective method -Modern Portfolio Theory, that can improve the managementlevel of securities investment funds .Second part, is an empirical research part, also a key part of this text. The author chooses 54 pieces of closed-end funds listed on Shanghai and Shenzhen before 2003, and analyzed its stock portfolio character according to the annual report, funds agreements and bond announcements of every fund in 2004.Third part, is also an empirical research part and another key part of this text. The author chooses the same research objects and data as second part, and analyzes performance of securities investment funds. The author mainly analyzes the interest rate of net value, the increase rate of accumulated net value, the discount rate of closed-end fund, and so on.At last, the author puts forward corresponding policies to solve problems existing in investment portfolio of securities investment funds in China.
