Investigation On Industrialization Of Animal Husbandry And Developmental Pattern In Sichuan

The Objective of this study is to propose the policies,measures and development pattern of the industrialization of animal husbandry in Sichuan province on the base of comparing and analyzing the deference of development experience of agricultural industrialization and industrialization organization systems between the developed countries and Sichuan province, and learning from the successes and lessons being worth paying attention. Results showed that animal industrialization chain has been formed by market economical competition, and filed leading enterprises became the main part of animal husbandry, and gain profits primarily through international trade in developed countries. In China, the policy of agricultural industrialization was initially focused on enhancing the ability of market competition of leading enterprises, and organize the farmers to develop and expand the scale of industrialization of animal husbandry through supporting leading enterprises, but the enterprises also share some public responsibility assigned by the government, and so they have to face both the pressures from responsibility of increasing farmer's income and international business competition. Therefore, Sichuan animal husbandry industrialization should be concentrated on increasing farmer's family income, developing appropriate scale of raising 50-200 animals annually. If this come true, the aim which the production value of Sichuan animal husbandry reach 100 billion RMB, and the proportion accounts for 50% in total agricultural production value will be actualized. At the same timeit should be noted that the leading large-scale enterprises exporting the agricultural products need to be supported and developed. Increase of Sichuan animal production value should be relied both on large-scale enterprises with exporting business and the rural cooperatives with flexible business. The policy of animal husbandry industrialization should separate the business of enterprises from the public responsibility, thus enterprises can concentrate their attention on strengthening business competition. Results also suggested that in the process of developing animal husbandry industrialization the government should not put all development funds on supporting leading enterprises, a part of funds should be transferred to train the farmers on the knowledge of animal farming and market competition, enhance farmer' animal productivity and the efficiency of rural cooperatives, and thus increase the market competition of animal products of Sichuan. Simultaneously, the issue of farmer's land ownership should be carefully solved, farmer's interest should be protected, the leading large-scale enterprises should not be relied on excessively.
