The Impact Of International Technological Transfer On The Technological Progress Of China

The international technological transfer is an important way for developing countries to learn the advanced technology and improve their own technological progress. In China, along with the development of multinational companies' direct investments, the international technological transfer experiences the growing process. From "using market to exchange technology" in 1990's to "using competition to exchange technology" in recent years, the level and the efficiency of the international technological transfer is gradually improving, which is benefit to our technological process.In this paper, the form and the development are first reviewed from two different angles—the supply's angle and the demand's angle. Scholars at home and abroad admitted the positive effect for technological diffusion and spillover in developing countries, and at the same time they pointed some problems in this field.Secondly, this paper reviews the positive effects and their approaches of the international technological transfer in China. Through using the model and correlative data offered by the Chinese scholars, the result of positive role in the international technological transfer in China is elicited. At the same time, the problems in technological transfer are discussed in the paper. Because of the problems in China and the tough control of multinational companies, the efficiency and the benefit should be improved.In the end, based on the above problems and combined the facts in China, the concrete solutions are explored in the paper. These measures, exerting the government's functions in structure building, improving the ability of absorbing and self-innovation, forming the competitive market and protecting the intellectual property rights, can help our country get the advanced technology more positively and more actively.The focus in the paper is: firstly, using the study of national scholars, collected the analyses of the model and the data, and based the round analysis of positive effect in the field of international technological transfer, deep thoughtfulness is done; secondly, analyzing the problems in practice, the author is trying to give the feasible solutions.
