After the entrance to the WTO of China, the toy industry faces a completely new circumstance, encounters the impact from domestic and abroad, and the competition between industries becomes more acute. This paper analyzes the conditions on the basis of the toy industry before and after the entrance to the WTO and gives some advice for the future development.The main purpose is to find the advantages and deficiencies of our toy industry by analyzing the actuality and the industry structure and comparing some indexes of competition ability in the domestic and overseas toy industry. Then it puts forward the relevant countermeasures and suggestions for the development of our toy industry by analyzing the influence of the situation to the whole comparison advantage and international markets' competition after the entrance to the WTO.Firstly, this paper introduces the present market condition and the structure of the international and domestic toy industry according to the detailed, definite facts and datum, thus finds out their circumstances and characteristics currently. Through building up an evaluating model of the international industry competition ability immediately—there are 21 compare indexes, including the competition strength, the competition potential, the competition ability and the competition environment (such as the competition pressure, the competition motive and the competition vitality) etc, the paper gets the detailed condition of the international competition ability of our toy industry with the quantitative analysis. At last, it brings up some advice for the development of our toy industry after joining the WTO.In the appraisal and analysis of competition, this paper imports the quantitative analysis methods of system engineering. And then, the paper validates the appraise method based on the true data. The analysis result indicates that the introducing of quantitative analysis methods into competition analysis is a precise and viable method, and has important theory and reality worth.
