Technology Causes Of Shaping Industry Cluster

As the important mode of the development of regional economy, industry cluster is important to the development of regions and even to the whole national economy. Its influences are greater and greater day by day. In recent years, With the deep study of the theories of the industry cluster recently, the causes of forming industry cluster has already been a hot academic question, and it also has been concerned by different disciplines.From the view of engineer technical philosophy to explicate the essential causes of forming industry cluster is the aim of this paper. The influences and reasons of the technological factors during the forming process of the industry cluster are also especially analyzed in this paper. Firstly, it analyzes all the general causes of forming industry cluster roughly, and indicates that those causes are the external. Secondly, it indicates that the technological factor is the essential cause during the forming process of the industry cluster on the basics of the classical production models. Finally, it analyzes the technological factor more detailed and all-sided from three dimensions that are the progress of technology, technological chain of the industries and technological industrialization.Through the analysis of the improvement of technological efficiency, the emerging of technological opportunities and the ameliorating of the technical equipments, this paper indicates that the progress of technology forces the enterprises which pursue tall benefits to close to the diffusing resources. In other words, it is the process of technology that makes the approximated enterprises gather together to be a cluster. As the center of the knowledge and the high - new technology, the technological pole is also the cause of high-tech industry cluster. On the basic analysis of the vertical connections and the crosswise connections of the technological chain of the industry, this paper indicates that the vertical connections and the crosswise connections of the technological chain of the industry is the basis of the internal structures and relationships. On this structures and relationships, the industry cluster is formed. Then this paper analyzes the space gathering phenomena of the technological chain of the industry all-sided from two dimensions which are technological net and Tacit Knowledge. It expresses the technological chain of the industry is the basis of forming the industry cluster. Through the analysis of the process of the technological innovation, it indicates that the process of the technological innovation is the process of the technological industrialization.During this process, the technological forms develop into the industrial technology that could produce economic values. That also indicates that the technological industrialization drives the form of the industry cluster. Except for this, through the analysis of the destructure and the structure of the technology system of industry, it indicates that Embeddedness of the technology system of the industry is the essential factor of forming the industry cluster and it is it that forces the forming of industry cluster.On the basic analysis of the theory of the technological cause of forming the industry cluster, the case study has also been done in this paper. This could be some demonstration of the theory. As the classical industry cluster of the new economic time, Silicon Valley is attracting more attentions because of its miraculous development. Through the analysis of the high-tech industry cluster in Silicon Valley, it indicates that the national defense technology is the key of the enterprises gathering in Silicon Valley. Hewlett-Packard Company and Fairchild are the basis enterprises of forming the high-tech net in Silicon Valley, and the co-operations between Hewlett-Packard Company and Stanford University is the driving forces of the form of the high-tech industry cluster. As a conclusion, the technological factor is the essential cause of the form of the high-tech enterprises in Silicon Valley. During thus analysis, the theory before has been verified.Finally, how to boost the development of industry cluster, there are three suggestions that have been advanced from the technological view in this paper.
