Countermeasures Study On The Development Of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone

Through more than ten year's development of the Free Trade Zone ( FTZ )of our country, a great achievement has be made and plenty experienceaccumulated. But at same time, it is found that there are still many problemsremained no solution, such as nature and function of FTZ are not definedsatisfactorily, the situation of separation of FTZ and port is hindering thefurther development of FTZ. Especially after the country becoming themember of WTO, the international trade should conform to the rules of WTOand the national economic pattern is getting close to the global economicpattern. The domestic FTZ needs to adjust itself to meet the requirement of anew situation and accord with international practices. Under this background,in what way should domestic FTZ develop in future has become a keyquestion which should be considered and solved. As one of the fifteendomestic FTZs, Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone(TJPFTZ) is facing the samequestion as well.This thesis selected the development countermeasures of TPFTZ as itstopic. The establishment background, basic concept and character of domesticFTZ are expounded, The development of foreign FTZ and domestic FTZ arestudied and differences among them are pointed out. A set of index system forevaluating FTZ is established based on analyzing competition force of FTZ,The thirteen domestic FTZs are compared by means of quantitative analysis,The status, advantages and disadvantages of TJPFTZ are found out. Thedevelopment and current situation of TJPFTZ are reviewed and studied,Theinfluences on domestic FTZ are analyzed since that China has joined WTO,The common problems of domestic FTZ and the particular problems ofTJPFTZ are summarized. Last, the development countermeasures of TJPFTZare put forwarded.
