Kunming Hydroelectric Investigation, Design and Research Institute of China(KHIDI) is located at Kunming, Yunnan province. It is a key institute that is engagedin investigation, design and research of all kinds of small, medium and large sizedhydroelectric projects.This paper predicts the developing progress of hydroelectric projects in China,analyzes the external competition environment of KHIDI, under the Western AreaDeveloping Policy, the Energy Developing Plan of China and the Provincial IndustryDeveloping Plan of Yunnan Province.It provides the method for KHIDI's enterprise reform after studying KHIDI'sorganization, analyzed its internal competition condition of KHIDI.
