Tourism industry is an important part in the economy of a country or region.Tourism marketing strategy is the key to sustainable development of the industry foran area. With its case set in Daqing city and its relevant data from the field practice,this essay conduct into depth investigation in the formulation of tourism marketingstrategies in the said area.At first, the writer brings out the significance of the research of the essay.Meanwhile, the writer discusses the root of Daqing tourism industry. Besides, theauthor look back the definition of the tourism, tourism industry and the history ofchina tourism industry. To the aspact of environments, the external environments oftourism industry in this city were analyzed from the macro environments and theindustry business. And also the writer introduces the SWOT Method to investigatethe strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of the internal environments.Based on the analyze of the environment, the author illustrates the core of marketing--STP , and make use of market segmentation, market targeting ,market positing toanalyze the Tourism industry of Daqing,furthermore, this paper concludes byproposing a future marketing mix for tourism industry in Daqing, including theproduct and services strategy, pricing strategy, distribution channels strategy andadvertising sales promotion.This research is significant in that it provides theoretical reference to thesocioeconomic development of the city in particular.
