Industrial restructuring was as a focus in the suggestion on making the 11th 5years' development program for economic and social development from Central Committee of the CCP. Industrial structure not only influences social economy and foreign trade, but also volume of seaborne trade cargo and cargo structure. Especially, China is changing from the big trade country to the power one, meanwhile, the adjustment of industrial structure have a huge effect. Research on relationship between industrial structure and seaborne trade cargo was almost none. However, such research will be made sense.The thesis starts from industrial structure of China and volume of seaborne trade cargo, reviews correlative research. On the basis of abundant information and data, introduction and describe about industrial structure and volume of seaborne trade cargo, the thesis analyses the relationship and theory between industrial structure and volume of seaborne trade cargo. Then, three representative cargos, iron ore, crude and containers, are picked to validate the theory. On the basis of the method of economy demonstration, the technology method of gray incidence analysis is used to calculate the relationship between three major industries and three representative cargos. The results tell that industrial structure effects volume of seaborne trade cargo mainly, especially the development of Secondary Industry in China pushes the import of energy sources and raw material and the trade of manufactured goods.The results of this thesis display that industrial structure effects volume of seaborne trade cargo and cargo structure mainly. So the results will be import reference for government's decision-making.
