Life insurance demand is a very important subject in insurance theory study. It is of great necessity either for the regulator or for the insurance companies to comprehend the attribute of life insurance demand fully. Moreover, using life insurance demand theory and relative statistic methods to analyze the situations of life insurance demand in a certain area also means much theoretically and practically.There have been 24 life insurance companies in Beijing market till July, 2005 with openness of china life insurance market. So the competition is very fierce. Meanwhile, the life insurance premiums decreased from the beginning of 2004, the profit of insurance companies comes downs. So, it is an urgent task to study how to develop competitive products to come up with the demand of Beijing residents for insurance companies. At the same time it is also valuable to research how to stimulate the life insurance demand and make the market develop rapidly and healthfully. Furthermore, as for which one of investment products and security products has more market potential in china, there exists great disagreement. This article will give its answers on these problems.This article is based on the economical theory of life insurance demand, it finds the way and extent of every element to influence the demand, and formulates the trait of time series and season fluctuation of life insurance demand by logarithm multivariate linier regression and ARMA time series model. At the same time, this article makes categorization and comparison between Beijing and other big cities in china mainland using clustering method to evaluate the situation of Beijing life insurance market in china and the distance from world advanced countries scientifically. Lastly, this article puts up with some advices to life insurance companies as regards products development and internal management, and it also brings forward some suggestions to regulatory institution.
