Research On Farm Technology Choice Behavior In Agricultural Technology Extension

After joining into the WTO, China's agriculture will be faced with more stinging competition. It needs strong technique to accelerate the development and structure adjustment of China's future agriculture, to raise the international competition ability of the agricultural product. China' s agriculture is being from traditional agriculture of the resources type towards stage of the modern agriculture type as a whole. The rate of science and technology's contribution in agriculture production has only 39 percent;far away below the level of developed country (60%-80%).The reason is as follows: one reason is that it is not short of agriculture technique, but the valid agriculture technique suitable for peasant is lack. Another is that, because of the disjointedness between the need behavior s of China's peasant in agriculture technique and governments, researches and the technique personnel expanding technique in the understanding of technology needed by agriculture production, the application and extension's rate of agriculture science research is so low that there exists conflict between the shortage of valid demand and the shortage of valid supply.This paper uses economics, developing economics theory and technology induced theory in analysis on the choice of agriculture technique firstly, and then concludes a model of Peasant Agriculture Technique Choice under the condition of resource constraint. In demonstration part, this paper uses the substantial data about the technique choice behavior of the peasant according to the sampling data of the two regions of Shihe village and Huanong Village in Jinzhou District Shihe Town. by analyzing the factor affecting the technique choice in description, related conclusion has been educed. Then, this paper uses multiple logit model in SPSS software to estimate parameter toward the affecting factor of peasant technique need behavior.It has been concluded from the study and research that the most hope of peasant is that technique extension section provides new species of technique for them. The technique choice of the peasant household is affected by various factors, such as education time of peasant, farmland area of peasant household, income weight of non-agriculture, agriculture technique guidance or training etc. the farmland area is the biggest factor among them. It has also discovered that the bigger production scales of peasant household the higher possibility of adopting technique;it can reduce the cost and uncertainty of adopting technique to improveeducation and get more information;the higher weight of non-agriculture income, the little demand of technique supplied by agriculture technique spread section.
