This paper worked on unemployment of China. By reviewing the unemployment theoryin modern economics and tracing back the history of the unemployment situation of thePeople's Republic of China, we found the conflict between the Neo-classical economics andKeynesism showed great influence on anti-unemployment policies. The predominant causesand characters of unemployment in recent China were Dual economic structure andinstitutional transition, so a successful transfer of redundant labor force from countryside tocities and keep employment growth up with economic growth should be the keys tounemployment problem in our country at present.According to concrete policy, these aspects we should lay particular emphasis on includeimplement the comparative advantages strategy, guarantee a fair and just income distributionmarket, set up a economic environment based on sincerity, reduce transaction costs, enforcethe policy of both considering employment increase and economic growth and promote theservices industry.
