Strategies Of Urban Agriculture Development In Pinghu City Of Zhejiang Province

With the increasing of industrialization and urbanization and with the enhancement of peoples living quality, the concept, function and role of agriculture development are wildly being extended. Although there are many successfully experiences and patterns of urban agriculture development in developed countries, and relevant researches and practices of urban agriculture were rapidly conducted in big and middle scale cities and province capital cities of China in recent years, but the less researches on urban agriculture were conducted in county scale which were within the scope of urban. The present paper studied the strategies of urban agriculture of Pinghu city based on applying of theory and analyzing of practice and acquired following achievements.At first, the suggestion that construction of urban agriculture should be the direction of further development of Pinhu agriculture in new times was proposed based on analyzing of origin, concept and development patterns of urban agriculture and integrating of different experts view-points.Secondly, the construction contents of Pinhu urban agriculture were put forward after analyzing of basis and development status of Pinhu urban agriculture in views of history, economic and social, and structure of Pinhu agriculture.Thirdly, seven problems faced by urban agriculture development and development potentials of urban agriculture were pointed out based on analyzing of existing practices and problems and development potentials of urban agriculture.Finally, 13 development strategies of Pinhu urban agriculture were put forward after analyzing of the opportunity, development emphases and direction and models of urban agriculture.
