The Study On Countermeasure For Development Of Modern Logistics In Gansu Province

With the rapid development of modern science and technology, strengthening of the trend of global economic integration, countries are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Modern logistics, as an advanced means of the organization and management technology, is widely recognized as "the third profit source" after reducing material consumption and improving labor productivity by enterprises. It plays an important role in the national economy and social development. Accelerating the development of modern logistics in China for optimizing the allocation of resources, improving the quality of economic operation, promoting the reform of enterprises, and promoting two fundamental changes of China's economic structure and mode of economic growth is of great significance.Central government has clearly pointed out that the modern logistics industry is developed as an important development in the new century and new economic growth points. Gansu Province is located in the inland northwest. It is an underdeveloped economic area. The proportion of the logistics costs in GDP is far higher than the national average level, this has become a strategic problem that constrain the economic development of Gansu Province. Provincial Party Committee and provincial government proposed an industrial strategy, in particular the implementation of the western development strategy, is a new hot spot in the province's economic development, which will undoubtedly bring Gansu provided new opportunities for the logistics industry. However, Gansu logistics facilities, technology applications, economic support is very weak. The environment and status of logistics industry in Gansu Province is introduced firstly. Then the main problems the development of modern logistics are analyzed.Chapter IV studies opportunities and advantages of the modern logistics development in Gansu Province. First of all, the qualitative analysis is made. Then from a quantitative point of view, the modern logistics potential demand of Gansu Province is forecasted. Basis on this, a fundamental judgment for the development prospects of Gansu Province modern logistics is made.Chapter V is of modern logistics role in promoting economic development in Gansu.
