Study On Working-area Layout Method Of Logistics Center

With the rapid growth of global economics and advancement of modernscience and technology, modern logistics has been developing quickly in theworldwide, as an important part of modern economic and the most rational patternof the integrative service in the a process of industrialization. As a new serviceindustry logistics produced and developing with economic increasing, and as a kindof advanced organization and management skills, Logistics is recognized as theartery and base of national economic development. Even its development level is amagnitude sign of the degree of national modernization and overall nationalstrength.Logistics center is an important part in logistics net, which is the nodeconnecting the material flow, commerce flow, information flow and cash flow, andhas an important function in rapid developing economic. The planning of logisticscenter has an important effect of logistics system. The layout of working-area isone of the important content of logistics center planning, and also is the substancefoundation to obtain space. Better layout and facility plan can not only reduce thecost of handling but also avoid the material flow bypass,crossover and theconfusion in the transportation process and make the flow short and fluent.This dissertation is based on MOC west traffic science and technology projectStudy on the Application Technology of Collection and Distribution for TrunkHighway Transportation in West sub-project Establishment Type Choose andWorking-area Layout in Logistics Centre. It focuses on logistics center planning,exploring the method of work area layout deeply and completely. I hope thisdissertation can be helpful in the work on logistics center construction.This dissertation contains five parts below:1. The theory of planning and design of logistics center. Firstly, introduce thecharacteristics of logistics center;Secondly, Explain the theory of logistics facilityplanning and the methods of facility planning, particularly classical facility layoutmethod------SLP in detail;At last, analyzing the planning procedure of logisticscenter system and discussing the logistics center facility planning.2. The methods of logistics center scale. Firstly, introduce the importance ofbetter logistics center scale in brief and then analyze two influence factor;andinvestigate the method of how to confirm the logistics center scale deeply. At last,based on the equilibrium of the supply and demand propose the new method toscales.3. The method of working-area layout。 Firstly, improve the planningprocedure referring to the method of SLP, and then based on it analyze theprocedure in detail.⑴ Working-area planning. Firstly, introduce the methods of Data analyzingand demand prediction. Then, build up the procedure of planning and define kindsof working-areas and analyze the space requirement of the working-areasdifferently. At last, Plan passages. Plan material flow aisle, traffic organizing insideand park, to make material flow and traffic expedite.⑵ Layout program. Firstly, relationship analyzing. Do material flow analysisand relationship analysis between every two working-areas so as to confirm therelative importance. Then,based on relative importance build up a layout modelwith genetic algorithm, at last produce some projects.⑶ Evaluation. Introduce some evaluation methods in common use, andanalyze the index system of the evaluation in brief.⑷ Improving the project. Analyze the necessary of the adaptation of projectand discuss how to improve the flexible of the plan.4.Demonstration. Put the method of this paper in practice .and analyze heplanning item.5.Summary and Prospect. Summarize the conclusion of the investigation andgive some conceived plans.The innovation of this paper:1. Propose a method of determining logistics center scale. Firstly, Analyze twokinds of factors which influence the logistics center scale, and then establish theequation of supply and demand .At last confirm the scale of logistics center.2. Based on the characteristics of logistics center development, set up theprocedure of working-area planning so as to improve the ability to be fit for thechange of demand.3. Improve the method of relationship analysis between working-areas, use theABC methods to analyze the most valuable goods, particularize the relative factors;reduce the grade of relationship to take from the influence of subjective factors.
