The Analysis Of Urban Competitiveness Of Mid-China's Six Capitals And Nanchang's Strategy Research

Economic globalization, information revolution and the enlargement of urban government 's decision power , these three forces make Chinese cities compete gradually fiercely . This dissertation deduces the new model of competitiveness of Chinese cities after a deep study to the theory system of urban competition . And then by the model, it studies the competitiveness of six mid-China's capitals and concludes Nanchang's predominance and weakness.with the ways combined by econometric analysis and comparison analysis , quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis , static analysis and dynamic analysis . Furthermore, systematically it proposes the principles and the ways for Nanchang to improve urban competitiveness .The dissertation can be divided into four parts :The first part is the preface which introduces the background , the significance , the ma(?)n innovation and the research method .The second part is the narrations and comments on the theory system of urban competitiveness and rethinking . Based on them, it gives the new framework of the study of China's urban competitiveness.The third part is analysis of the six cities' competitiveness. After a introduction to their general situations , it conducts a comparative and an econometric study . By analysis and conclusion ., it finds that: Nanchang's advantages include better situation of introducing enterprises and higher government efficiency , and that Nanchang's weaknesses include worse private economy , enterprise scale , capital, infrastructure, human resources, education, science and technology.The fourth part is the strategic method for improving Nanchang's competitiveness. In order to improve the competitiveness , Nanchang has to adopt the following principles : opening , avoiding, the main role of enterprises , sustainable development and priority of people. It suggests that Nanchang can take the following strategies : 1) Forge the good brand of investment environment and innovate the way to introducing enterprises. 2) Enlarge and strengthen the private economy . 3) Carry out human resources strategy and perfect the function of local education and science and technology. 4) Connect the Chang-zhu-ming economic deltas ,and enforce the union between Nanchang and Jiujiang.5) Build up government itself and improve administrative ability .
