China's beer industry has been undergoing a new integration. Domestic beer manufacturers are encountering over-productivity and severe competition. Meanwhile, foreign beer tycoons cast covetous eyes on China's market and have been entering China's market by investing directly or buying shares of some domestic leading beer manufacturers. How to take on the challenge and to gain more market share has been a common problem for all domestic beer manufacturers.This thesis first analyzes the importance of the strategic study for the development of businesses, introduces the general theories of the strategic study of business development. Then it explores the political, legal, economic, social and technological environments and five kinds of competitiveness of beer industry, and identifies its opportunities and threats.The case study of the Zhujiang Brewery Group is involved. This thesis identifies its advantages and disadvantages in present situation and proposes both long-term and short-term strategies and the measures about how to implement these strategies.Comparison and analysis of data and the theories of business development strategy and competitive advantage are used here. The purpose is to apply the knowledge I learned during my study to solving some problems. The Zhujiang Brewery Group is one of the leading beer manufacturers in China; by taking it as an example, this thesis may help the Zhujiang Brewery Group and even the whole industry study and figure out development strategies. |
