The study on job satisfaction has been a pop subject for quite a long time in the international academia. In China, comparing with research abroad, the depth and extent in this field seem not sufficient, especially lacking localized research tools and academic achievements. Civilian enterprises' employees that are a large group with Chinese characteristic are selected as the object of this study. The thesis aims to explore the status quo of the influence factors of job satisfaction from typical civilian enterprises including individual enterprises and private family enterprises.Analyzing the historical opportunities, challenges and HRM current situations of civilian enterprises, the thesis expatiates on practical and theoretic significance of the study. After that, the former research literature at home and abroad is reviewed and summarized. By means of literature analysis and structured interview, the influence factors of job satisfaction are collected and revised, which are made up of 6 situation variables of company administration & organizational atmosphere, job itself, leadership behavior, interpersonal relationship & social support, working compensation, working environment & conditions, 2 emotional characteristic variables of positive affectivity and negative affectivity, and 6 demographic variables. In the course of the quantitative study, the situation variables and emotional characteristic variables are regarded as independent variables, the demographic variables as control variables, and job satisfaction as a dependent variable. Based on it, the hypothesis of the research is given. According to these variables, scales are designed, and a questionnaire is created to do a survey sampling.Firstly, factor analysis is used to explore the structure of scale factors for the 8 independent variables. Analyzing the result, revision is made for the factors' structure, which belong to respective variables. Secondly, with the regression analysis, hypothesis testing is carried out to study the influence of the 8 variables on job satisfaction. The conclusion can be drawn that all the other 5 independent variables have significant influence on job satisfaction except interpersonal relationship & social support, jobenvironment & conditions and positive affectivity. In addition, the influence extent of each variable from regression equation and regression coefficient is calculated. And the influence diversity of each demographic variable on the 8 factors with the one way ANOVA is presented. The results and findings in the study, which are concluded in the special background of Chinese civilian enterprises, are helpful to reform human resource management, motivate employees' positivity and reduce turnover rate.
