Shopping mall is a new kind of state of retail trading in china. In recent years, there is a trend to build more and more huge malls all around China. According to Wuhan retailing development plan, 4 huge malls will be built in the next 5 years. But there are some problems that we must face: 1. Is there the space to survive for huge malls in Wuhan? 2. Is the huge shopping mall an independent state of retail trading? 3. What are the core factors of this retail trading? This paper analyses the state of retail trading from its development in developed countries, and discusses that the revolution of social science & technology, trend of customers'preference, competition are the driving powers of the retailing development. Then, this paper identifies target customers, thinking of management, marketing and assistant managerial systems as the 4 key factors. Finally, this paper makes it sure that huge shopping mall is an independent state of retail trading by its agglomeration effects. On this point, the paper describes the 4 key factors of the Wuhan shopping mall, especially locks the target customers, analyses the environment and gives some suggestions to its development.
