EPC for overall project-contracting is a new type of construction contracting andmanagement mode formed during the last 10 years. It is recommended for projects,where a higher degree of certainty of final price and time is required, and thecontractor takes total responsibility for the engineering, procurement and constructionof the project.Firstly, the writer described the definition, background, the differences betweennational and international of EPC for overall project-contracting.Secondly, a further study was carried out for the gist of project management for EPCfor overall project-contracting , EPC process management, PMBOK's application inEPC and HSE management in EPC project.
