It isnecessary for mechanical equipment to have reliability, usability, servicing, economy andsecurity. Require to carry out full life management, to study reliability work, tocompletely carry out the quality guarantee system and criterion. It is an important part ofequipment management and maintenance, and made excellent research fruit. At present,mechanical fault diagnose technique has become a crossing subject, which includes boththeory and practice. Meanwhile, it has become an important work for electric power, steel,petrochemical and other major economic fields.This paper puts forwards mechanical fault diagnosis development inside and outside ofChina, the necessary to actively develop mechanical fault for petrochemical enterprises,the problems existing in China mechanical fault diagnosis, then deduces the meaning toselect the study subject from the study background.Then, this paper introduces the theory and technique of mechanical fault diagnosis. Basedon the deep analysis of current management mode for reliability and point inspection, thepaper concludes that equipment management of HBPEC should have reliabilitymaintenance, point inspection mode and production maintenance project without anyfault based on mechanical fault diagnosis.At last, the paper discusses how to improve equipment management level based onmechanical fault diagnosis in three aspects.
