Enterprise strategy is the way to achieve long-term enterprise goal. If anenterprise had no strategy it would like a ship without helm and would have noprogress. Chinese private company should urgently make their own developmentstrategy when they grow up from small family companies to modern big companies.Automobile industry has been worldwide developed to a high technologiesindustry with dense capitals and technologies. Chinese private auto companies haveshort history, with China joining WTO and high competition environments, how thesegrowing private companies face the dual-checkmate from International big companiesand domestic state-owned auto companies?This research will focus on the Zhejiang Geely Auto Group, the typical domesticprivate auto company, under the guide of general strategy management theory. Thepaper first overviews Chinese private auto manufacture history, summarizes thestrategy management theory, then analyzes their external and internal environments indetail, including analyzed by PORT five forces model. Based on these analysis 7strategies are presented by SWOT matrix method.In the paper these 7 strategies are emphatically discussed and analyzed, four ofthem are recommended as priority and other three strategies are long-term attentionsin the end.
