| This paper firstly explains the definition and theory of Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs) and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), then analyses how RTA and TBT come into being and the current situation respectively. The major part sums up the content of TBT in several leading Regional Trade Agreements such as NAFTA, US-Chile Free Trade Agreement (FTA), US-Australia FTA, EU-Mexico FTA and so on. Then the major part analyses the trait and effect caused by the correlative articles. The last but not least, the paper analyses the content of TBT in two Chinese RTAs and gives special suggestions for Chinese government to take necessary measures in the negotiation. |
