It will be with a view to the electric power project general contracting managementmodel while concentrating on design institute in this paper,basing on comparingtraditional project management model with overall contracting management model andanalyzing the disadvantage of traditional management model for electric power projectin China, the electric power project general contracting management model with designinstitute as leading role will be studied in detail, introducing the OS of electric powerengineering company that concentrating on design institute and project managerdepartment;Analyzing two domestic cases of electric power engineering concentratingon design institute, the advantages and disadvantages of project general contractingmanagement model while concentrating on design institute will be given in this paper.At the end of the paper, the problems to be solved of developing electric power projectoverall contracting concentrating on design institute will be analyzed.
