A Case Study Of Urban Land Use Expanse In Nanning Since 1980

Since the reform and opening to the outside, the development of Nanningcity has entered a new stage, and its urbanization has been speeding up. In theyear of 2001, non-agricultural population of Nanning city broke through onemillion, which made it a megalopolis. In the same year, China-ASEAN 10+1Free Trade Area was established, and Nanning was appointed as the place ofChina-ASEAN Expo. Facing a new stage of rapid development, Nanning is ingreat need of guidance and emendation of the land use planning theory.However, the western classic concentric ring model is unsuitable for Chinesespecial surroundings in many aspects. Therefore we need to study andgeneralize the city's own characteristics and rules about land use expanseaccording to its practical development, and explore the specific concentricring model of Nanning city.Starting with the review of Nanning's urban land use expanse since 1980,this thesis compares and analyzes the evolvement of Nanning's developedareas and three function lands in five particular years, and summarizes itscharacteristics and developing rules. Moreover, it as well deals with theallotment of function lands of each year from the perspective of concentricring, and puts forward Nanning's concentric ring model of land use.In order to study Nanning's land expanse in all-round way, this thesisalso analyzes and discusses its evolvement and rules of constructive andeconomic intensity of Nanning's land use. And more research is done on theinfluence of important historic events and economic policies which are theimpulse of Nanning's land use expanse.Finally, this thesis makes a review and analysis of each previouscomprehensive planning in Nanning, and discusses the efficiency anddeficiency in implementing its regulating measures for land use. Based theabove, it offers some regulating advice for the land use allotment of Nanningaccording to its comprehensive planning from 2004 to 2020.
