FDI And International Competitiveness Of China's Industry

China has achieved spectacular success in absorbing foreign direct investment since our reform and opening. At the same time that it influenced obviously on Chinese economy and society, FDI has become one of the engines that push forward international competitiveness of China's industry. In my dissertation, on the basis of Theory of International Trade, Theory of International Investment and Theory of Competitiveness, firstly the theoretical origin of FDI and International Competitiveness of Industry will be elaborated, after that, the way of evaluating them. Secondly, from several correlative elements, the active and negative impact, which is on International Competitiveness of China's Industry by FDI, will be analyzed by means of analysis frame of Porter-Dunning Model. At the point of view of qualitative analysis, confirming the basically active impact on the development of International Competitiveness of China's Industry. The third part focuses on the empirical analysis of effect of FDI on the main aspects of International Competitiveness of China's Industry, such as Industrial Structure, Trade Competitiveness. On the basis of quantitative analysis, the pushing effect by FDI on International Competitiveness of China's Industry is further approved. Finally, according to the malfunctions during China utilizing FDI, some of advices, which are about how to make better use of FDI to enhance the International Competitiveness of China's Industry, will be proposed from the perspective of government establishing policy.
