The Study On The Interactive Relation Between Formal Leader And Informal Leader

The researcher used interviews, questionnaires and other methods to study the interactiverelation between the formal and informal leaders of the enterprises, and analyze the performanceof the formal and informal leaders. Through their differences and the correlation between theleader's efficiency and the formal or informal leaders, the writer want to seek the effectiveness ofreference by the informal leaders to raise the leader's efficiency and to enhance the charm of theformal organizational leaders. The paper refers to some research in 10 enterprises in Shenzhen,including the interviews with top leaders and some questionnaires from the general staff, basicand middle leaders at all levels. The total number of samples is 300.The whole study contained three main components: (1) Make exploratory factor analysis toexplore the current state, the forming elements and the characteristics of the formal and informalleaders in Chinese enterprises. The results showed that we could measure the formalorganizational leaders by four aspects in Chinese enterprises, including personal qualities, goalseffectiveness, multiple knowledge and interpersonal skills. Informal leaders may be evaluatedfrom three dimensions, personal charm, group cohesion and common development. (2) Usefactor analysis to explore two-factor structure of the leader's efficiency in the enterprises, theresults indicated that the leader's efficiency could be measured by the leadership confidence andjob satisfaction. (3) Adopt the correlation analysis to explore the relationship between the formalof informal leaders with two factors of leader's efficiency, the results indicated that the factors offormal leaders has strongly related to leader's efficiency, the charm performance of the informalleaders had impact on the formal leader's efficiency.
