Mergers and Acquisitions(M&As)is one of the important ways for the company to optimize the allocation of resources and realize leap-forward development.The key to the success of M&As is not only the integration of financial resources and material resources,but the integration of human resources is very important too.The key to integration of human resources is the organizational identification.And leader is supposed to be the agent of company,thus leaders' behavior will affect the identification with leader,further influence enterprise's human resources integration.Moreover,in the M&A enterprise,the leader is in the network of accountability,facing the accountability from different audience,which may influence the decision-making and behavior of the leader.Therefore,it is very important to explore the influence mechanism of leader accountability on employee identification with leader under the M&As situation.This study aims to explore the impact mechanism of leaders'accountability on the identification with leader.This study reviewed the literatures,then combined with case study and questionnaire survey.Finally,the results indicate that leaders' accountability can positively influence employees' identification with their leaders and achieve the impact through the mediation role of leaders'self-sacrificing behavior.This paper draws three major conclusions:firstly,under the situation of M&As,the perceived accountability can directly influence identification with leader.Secondly,under the situation of M&As,the accountability can directly influence the leaders' self-sacrifice behavior,and leaders' self-sacrifice behavior can significantly influence identification with leader;finally,under the situation of M&As,the influence of accountability on identification with leader is mediated by leaders' self-sacrifice behaviors.This paper focused on the M&As situation and found the influence mechanism of leaders' accountability on identification with leader.The paper mainly has two theoretical contributions.Firstly,the study extended the research on leadership in the the field of M&A,supplemented in study about leader in M&A situation.Secondly,the study enriched the research of accountability,supplemented in study about accountability in M&A situation.Futhermore,some suggeations are put forward in the practice guidance for M&A enterprises.The human resource integration process of the enterprise should pay attention to the accountability of the leaders and raise the degree of employees' identification with their leaders.
