The Study On Changes Of Oasis Agriculture In South Of Xinjiang During The Period Of The Republic

This text tried to use Wensu and Kuche counties as examples, which had definite representative on development of agriculture in south of Xinjiang, elaborated the development and changes of agriculture's each aspect in the two counties during the period of the Republic, emerged the development and changes of oasis agriculture in south of Xinjiang in this period, approached the influence factors of its development and changes, expected to provide some use for actuality.The article particularly elaborated the development of agriculture in Wensu and Kuche counties during the period of the Republic from four aspects, that was cultivated land, crops, agricultural technology and water conservancy. Adopt comparing the two counties with other districts in south of Xinjiang, the north of Xinjiang and other districts in Northwest area, we found that, during the period of the Republic, although there were some differences in development of agriculture in each area of south of Xinjiang, the main trend of development was unanimous, that was slowly developed in the dominated period of Yang zengxin, fell off in the dominated period of Jin shuren, rapidly developed in the dominated period of Sheng shicai and reached the period of great prosperity at his midterm and later stage, then gradually declined till the end of the Republic. Because of the influences of government policy and other factors, it caused the transform of superiority and inferior in agriculture's development between the south of Xinjiang and the north of Xinjiang in the dominated period of Sheng shicai. Look upon the whole Northwest area, the agriculture in Xinjiang was notable developed in the dominated period of Sheng shicai, and had it's own characteristics across comparing to other districts in Northwest area.
