The Empirical Research Of FDI Spillover Effects On The Industrial Growth Of Changchun

At present,foreign investment has become the region's main form of the use of external resources, the role of foreign direct investment is most evident. Domestic scholars in the study of regional economic growth impact of FDI on the issue of foreign investment into the coastal provinces and cities in the earlier empirical analysis more specific, with the 1999 western development policy introduced the effects of FDI in the western provinces have achieved some results. Currently, the national policy to revive the old industrial base, attracting scholars of the three northeastern provinces have gradually begun to study the problem, but the use of empirical methods relatively rare.The use of a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research, econometric modelling and analysis of supplementary survey methods research in the economic effects of FDI in Changchun and the key factors.On the basis of macroeconomic indicators, using indicators for the industry group testing to draw the specific factors, with some theoretical and practical meanings.The paper is divided into four parts besides the foreword and epilogue:ChapterⅠ:with the theory of FDI and the relationship between FDI and economic growth on the host country,this part recalled that FDI explored the transmission mechanism of economic growth, the effect of labour investment, capital formation and spillover effects. These spillover effects can through micro-macro levels of the industry to host the productivity impact: at the macro level can influence the foreign trade, industrial structure;At the micro level can impact the enterprise human capital levels, efficiency and management skills, and ultimately promote economic growth in the host country.ChapterⅡ: to analyse the impact of the industrial sector of FDI spillover effects on the Changchun,including industrial structure, foreign trade, enterprises and human capital, technology in Changchun through the integration of survey data. Concluded that though the use of FDI in Changchun compared with other sub-provincial cities is in the downstream, but still played a positive role in economic growth of Changchun.ChapterⅢ: to reseach the effects of FDI on industrial economic growth of Changchun from two aspects by empirical analysis: First, FDI of Changchun Industries has a significant spillover effects;Second, to study the characteristics of FDI spillover effects in Changchun industries.ChapterⅣ: on the basis of empirical studies reached spillover effects on economic growth of Changchun industrial basic conclusions and gave some policy suggestions.
