| Theme parks have developed rapidly for over 50 years from its coming into the world. In 1989, the opening of Jinxiuzhonghua theme park in Shenzhen arose a construction upsurge of theme park in China. According to the statistics, 70% of 103 Chinese historic and cultural cities ever had various scales and types theme parks. Backing on the cities, these theme parks developed rapidly. Meanwhile these theme parks impelled the development of local tourism and local economy, strengthened urban image and protected urban cultural heritage. Since 1990s, an important dialectical relation has been established between theme parks and historic and cultural cities. But very little real diagnosis research about how they depend on mutually and affect mutually in tourism development has been conducted. This paper tries to discuss the dialectical relationship of theme parks and historic and cultural city from theory and practice angle by using Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden in Kaifeng City as a case study, in ordor to put forward the constructive proposals for benign interaction development of theme parks and historic and cultural cities and continues healthy development of theme parks.The paper is divided into five chapters. The 1st chapter is preface, which makes an introduction of the paper's meanings, methods and contents and reviews the relatedresearches on the theme parks. The 2nd chapter introducts the research background. The 3rd chapter analies the tourists market mechanism and tourist behavior tendency of Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden based on the questionnaire survey results. The 4th chapter discusses the mutual relation, the existence question and the influence factor of Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden and Kaifeng City encompassing resources, market, brand, culture and so on. The 5th chapter proposes the principles, the goals and the countermeasures of the benignity inter-development between theme parks and the historic and cultural cities. |
