Insurance industry is one of the emerging hot industries in the recent years in China, it have kept the healthy growth in the past years. After China joined WTO, the insurance market is becoming more and more open, a lot of foreign investment come to China in the form of Foreign Venture, Joint Venture in the insurance industry, the cultivation and competitiveness of the insurance agent is becoming more and more challenging. How to survive in the insurance market have become one of the most important issues in front of the insurance companies. Currently there is challenge on the insurance sales management, the average benchmark of the insurance agent is declining, the overall performance of the insurance agent is not that professional, and the attrition rate of the insurance agent is high.Currently the insurance companies are using all kinds of performance measurement mechanism to measure the performance of the insurance agent, prime and manager. However, those performance measure mechanism is used for the measurement itself. It have not increase the revenue of the insurance company, it have not increase the performance of the insurance agent neither. This document have done a case study based on one life insurance company, analyzed the issues happened in the current performance measurement system, and also provide solutions to address those issues.The document is based on the performance theory in the human resource category, focusing on performance measurement. It have taken both the theory and practice into consideration. The case study is based on the company names as XingGuang life insurance company, analyzed the issues happened in its performance measurement system, provided the solution to enhance the system. The objective is to get the win-win solution for both the insurance company and also the insurance agent.
