Under the condition of open economy, there exists close relationship between foreign investment and industrialization. Since China reformed and opened to the outside world, it got great accomplishment by using foreign investment, but there were also lots of problems. How to use international experience for reference, combined theory with practice, deeply probe into the research of mutuality relationship between foreign investment and industrialization, to improve economy, and build a healthy economy and society are really important subjects. Guangdong is one of the biggest economy provinces of China, the second largest province to absorb foreign investment; so the historical data of Guangdong province provides a good sample to the theory of foreign investment and industrialization, and has much practical sense to analyze. This thesis pays much attention to practical research. First, it introduces much previous theories and practical research by others. Second, based on previous ones' theories, according to Guangdong's historical data, it builds industrialization model better than before, and analyze Guangzhou's industrialization condition. Third, it builds the relationship model between foreign investment and industrialization, to validate whether using foreign investment in Guangdong can improve the path of industrialization, and gets that foreign investment has really steady relationship with industrialization. Forth, it builds model to check up how foreign investment improve Guangzhou's industrialization, and proves whether previous ones' theory is right. Finally, it analyzes the problems exist in Guangdong's policy, and table proposal to it.
