China's tourism, as one of the most beneficial industries, will be taken further step by the successful bid for Beijing Olympic Games in the first ten years in the 21 century. Although situated in inlands, Shanxi lies on the many important tourist provinces and cities, such as Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Tianjing, Shannxi and Hebei. In 2003 Datong-Yuncheng subway has been licked up. Outside, it connects with Beijing, Tianjin, Shannxi and Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Henan and Shannxi;inside, it strings many famous scenic spots and tourist-centered cities. Beijing Olympic Games brings the opportunity to the development of Beijing, at the same times the fruits of it towards Shanxi are substantial. How does Shanxi, named by the Chinese ancient art museum, enjoy this piece of delicious cake of Olympic Games Tourism under competition? How is the current situation of Shanxi? How many factors affecting the satisfactory degree taken by visitors towards Shanxi tourism environment? What is the weak links that should be improved?Mainly adopting literature-information method, questionnaire, expert interview and data statistics, this research takes the satisfactory degree of tourist coming Shanxi towards tourism environment as its subject. It also makes an investigation on current Shanxi tourism environmental development in terms of scenic spots resources, tourist food and drink services, transportation services, accommodation services, recreational services, shopping services, scenic spot images, basic facilities and management services and aims at seeking for the weak links of Shanxi tourism environmental development, which provides the basis for the plans of Shanxi tourism in the coming Beijing Olympic Games.The results show that (1) satisfactory degree of tourist towards of tourist environment is decided by the distance between the actual perception and expectancy of tourist towards services quality. (2) in china, the factors affecting tourists' satisfactory degree towards Shanxi tourism environment have closely relationship with the satisfactions of scenic spots resources,accommodation services, scenic spot images and management services;abroad, the factors are mainly food and drink services, transportation services, accommodation services, recreational services, shopping services, scenic spots images, basic facilities and management services. (3) the main problems that Shanxi tourism environment meets with are the irrational price of scenic spots ticket, the bad attitudes of selling tickets, the irrational arrangement of scenic spots, the manners of food and drink services, insufficient initiative of service staff;the bad transportation conditions into scenic spots, uncomfortable driving, the comfortableness of guest-room facilities, the requirement on accommodation and the accurate checking that do not reach what are expected;lacking in good quality images of scenic spots, civilized staff images, the enthusiasm service of local people;the bad achievable tourist appeals, careless consulting service, irregular process of tourist guide taking over an tour, bad tourist-guiding service quality, attitudes of all kinds of service, service efficiency, service styles needed to be improved;The major weak links are in general tourist recreational services, shopping, basic facilities in scenic spots. (4) different groups of tourists have different satisfactory degree in the same tourism environmental services which reflect that Shanxi environmental services have different levels of proficiency, being difficult to adapt to the requirement of Olympic Games tourism. (5) there is the relevance between the loyalty and satisfaction of tourists towards tourism environment, therefore, properly solving the complaint of tourists can effect tourist loyalty.
