The original oil in place (OOIP) of the Fuyu oil layer is5986.09×104t in the Toutaioilfield. Since2011the produced geological reserves is2752.13×104t. The untouched reservesof the old extension region excepting Mao508, Mao401area is1507×104t. There are largepotential reserves of the expanding area but the main layer barely developed. Because of poorcondition of the surface, the development is difficult. Most of blocks in the flood area of theSonghua river, the fundamental construction is difficult and the period is long. Hence, thereare some problems in the Toutai oilfield such as backup reserves deficiencies, less replacereserves and large remaining reserves in the expanding area.In order to handle those problems mentioned above, This thesis carries out a series ofresearch such as structure researching in target blocks, reservoir sedimentary characteristics ofthe outside expanding area as well as the scale and the connectivity of the development of thesand bodies in the extended region, which can be used to guidance the recognition of the oiland water layer in researching area as well as the favorable extension area.Through statistical analysis of the structure morphology and fracture characteristics ofthe southeast Fuyu oil layer in the Toutai oilfield, we have a deeper understanding in thisblock. In order for the prediction of the sand bodies’ distribution more accurate in extensionarea, this thesis aims to research the sedimentary microfacies of the Mao179-171blocks andto mainly depict the map of the river distribution. Because of influence of the provenances,the river distribution has certain directivity. The source direction of the researching area is inthe southwest, therefore, the river’ direction is mainly from southwest to northeast. Drawingthe map of the river distribution about the surroundings of the extension area can efficientlypredict the sand bodies of the expanding region. Furthermore, the distrinution of oil and wateris studied and the potential of the expanding area is determined.
