Fujian and Taiwan is seperated in space by taiwan Strait,and it is in the westof the East Sea and the South Sea.The good resource conditions and thehighlight geographical advantage has provided favorable conditions for thespeedy development of marine economy in fujian province. Although the marineeconomy in Fujian Province in recent years has achieved rapid development,and the industrial structure is also adjust and optimize constantly, there are stillmany shortcomings. Many scholars and experts aware of these problems fully,but the results of the current study merely remain in the fundamental basicresearch and discussion of disciplinary system, quantitative research is very little,Therefore, this paper will analyse the marine economy quantily in fujian provinceby contructing the Fujian marine economic input-output tables, with a view toprovide an effective basis for decision-making for the real sector.Firstly,this paper discusses the strategic position of the marine economicdevelopment in Fujian and the significance of analysing marine economy,anddefined the ideas and methods of this research by carding the economicresearch At home and abroad. Secondly, by analyzing the basic conditions ofmarine economy in Fujian Province and the marine industry developmenttrends.Thirdly,through the discussion on the classification of marineindustries,this paper has developed a set of the marine industry classificationthat is suitable for the marine economic input-output table based on thecharacteristics of fujian marine economy, and then works out Fujian marineeconomic input-output tables and do the input-output analysis.Fourly, this paperanalyses the industrial coordination of the marine economy in fujianprovince.Finally, this paper sums up the development level and industrialconditions of marine economy in fujian province,according to the above analysisput forward the possible problems of marine economy in fujian province andthe policy recommendations of “building marine economic strong province”,inorder to seek ways to optimize the industrial structure.Empirical results show that the marine economy and land economydependent on each other strongly;the marine industrial chain is short,therelationship between marine industries are other industries is weak relatively, and develop independently; The consumption gap between urban and ruralresidents are still large, it is obvious that "dual" economic characteristics stillexists; Advantages of high value-added exports has not yet formed; Marineindustrial development is unbalanced,whose efficiency are uneven andcompetitive industries can not fully apparent; Generally speaking,the marineindustries and land industries in fujian province develop coordinatly, but thedegree of coordination are relatively low,so in order to achieve the rationalizationand harmonization of the industrial structure.it Is very necessary to step upindustrial restructuring efforts.
